Webayt The Slider Module in a CMS is used to create visual banner areas on your website and display these banners in a specific order. Slider areas are generally preferred on the homepage, campaign areas, promotional sections, or pages where you want to show featured content to the visitor.
Through the Slider Module, you can add banner images, define descriptions for the banner, specify links, select groups, rearrange banner order, and manage whether the banner is active or inactive.
What is the purpose of the Slider Module?

- Editing banners
- Deleting banners
- Checking the active or inactive status of banners.
This screen allows you to quickly control which banners are in the slider and in what order they are displayed.

- Set the banner's rank value.
- Set the banner status to on or off.
- Save the banner by clicking the Add button.
Once the banner is added, it becomes available for use in the corresponding slider area.
What is the banner description?
Banner Description is a short description or title related to the banner. Depending on the theme structure, this description may be displayed on the banner itself or in an area associated with the banner.
When writing banner descriptions, short, clear texts that clearly convey what you want to tell the visitor should be preferred.
How to Use Banner Links?
A banner link is used to specify the link a visitor will be directed to when the banner is clicked.
For example, if you want to redirect to a campaign, service page, package page, or contact page, you can add the link to that page in this field.
This field can be left blank if you do not want the banner to be clickable.
How to Add a Banner Image?
In the Slider Module, an image needs to be selected for the banner. The image can be uploaded via the "Add Image" field on the banner adding screen.
When uploading images, attention should be paid to file size and supported file types. Images that comply with the file rules specified in the panel should be preferred.
For detailed information on general image uploading procedures, you can review the "How to Upload Images in the Webayt Panel?" guide.
What is the purpose of group selection?
Group Selection allows you to associate a banner with a specific group. This field can be used to categorize slider banners according to their usage or to list banners belonging to a specific group in the relevant module display.
If you only want to display banners belonging to a specific group in the slider area, you can select that group. For general use, the default group can be chosen.
For more detailed information about groups, you can review the How to Use Groups guide.
What is the purpose of the queue area?
The order field is used to determine the order in which the banners are displayed.
If there are multiple banners, the order value can affect their arrangement on the front end. Banners with lower order values may be displayed earlier depending on the theme structure.
To avoid confusion in the slider layout, it's helpful to proceed systematically when assigning order values to banners.
What is the banner status?
Banner Status determines whether the banner will be displayed on the site.
- Open: The banner can be displayed on the site.
- Closed: The banner remains registered in the panel but is not displayed on the site.
Instead of deleting banners you want to temporarily disable, you can set them to a closed state. This way, you can reactivate them later.
How to Update a Banner?
To update an existing banner, you can click the Edit button next to the banner in the banner listing screen.
On the banner update screen, you can edit the description, link, image, group selection, order, and status fields. After making changes, click the Update button to save the banner.
The banner update screen may also include a "Lists to Update" field. This field is used to specify which language lists should be updated in multilingual environments.
For more detailed information on this topic, you can review the guide "How to Use Update Lists?" .
Banner Removal Process
If a banner is no longer needed, it can be deleted using the Delete button on the listing screen.
When a banner is deleted, it is removed from the slider list. If there is a possibility that the banner may be used again later, it may be safer to set its status to closed instead of deleting it.
How to Add a Slider Module to Pages?
Creating banners in the Slider Module makes them available in the system. However, for these banners to be displayed on a page, the slider module may need to be used in the Module Management area of that page.
For detailed information on how to add modules to pages, you can review the "How to Add Modules to Pages?" guide.
What should be considered when using a slider?
Slider areas can be one of the first things a visitor notices. Therefore, it's important that banner images are high-quality, readable, and consistent with the site design.
- Prepare banner images in appropriate size and quality.
- Avoid images with too much text.
- Write banner descriptions briefly and clearly.
- Check that the banner links lead to the correct page.
- Determine the order values in a planned manner.
- Instead of deleting unused banners, consider turning them off.
- If group selection is used, make sure the correct group is selected.
- After making the update, check how the page appears on the front end.
