How to view communication messages?

The Webayt Contact Messages section in the admin panel is used to view messages sent through the contact form on your website.
The messages displayed in this section are standard contact form messages sent via the Contact Module added to your website. To learn how to add the Contact Module and where it can be used, please refer to the "How to Use the Contact Module?" guide.
When a visitor submits a message via the contact form, the message is both listed in the admin panel and sent as an email notification to site administrators. This allows you to track incoming messages not only through the panel but also via email notifications.
Where can I open the Contact Messages?
To view messages received via the contact form, please follow these steps:
- Log in to the Webayt admin panel.
- Open the Messages menu from the left-hand menu.
- Click the Communication Messages link.
- On the screen that opens, you can view a list of messages received through the contact form.
What information is included in the contact message list?
Incoming messages are listed in a table on the Communication Messages screen. This table allows you to access information about the sender, their email address, the message subject, and available action options.
- Status: Shows the status of the message in the system.
- Name: Shows the name of the person who sent the message.
- Email: Displays the email address of the person who sent the message.
- Title: Displays the subject line of the message.
- View Message: Used to view the details of the message.
- Delete: Used to delete the relevant message.
How to Search via Message?
You can search through incoming messages using the search field located on the Communication Messages screen.
The search field helps you find a specific sender, email address, or subject more quickly, especially on sites with a large number of messages.
Will I receive an email notification when the message arrives?
Yes. When a new message is submitted through the contact form on your website, the system automatically sends an email notification to the site administrators.
This notification allows you to be informed of new communication requests more quickly and respond to the user via email when necessary.
However, all messages are also logged in the administration panel. Therefore, even if you receive email notifications, it is recommended that you regularly check incoming messages from the Messages → Contact Messages screen.
How to view message details?
To view the details of a message, you can click the View Message button located on the relevant line.
The message details window displays information about the sender and the message content.
- Sender: The name of the person sending the message.
- Email: The email address of the person sending the message.
- Title: Subject of the message.
- Message: The content of the message sent by the visitor.
- Date: The date and time the message was sent.
To close the details window, you can use the Close button within the window or the close icon in the upper right corner.
Deleting Messages
Communication messages that are no longer needed can be removed using the Delete button on the list screen.
Before deleting a message, it's recommended to ensure you no longer need it. Deleted messages may not be viewable again.
The Difference Between Communication Messages and Dynamic Form Messages
In the Webayt panel , Communication Messages and Dynamic Form Messages display form submissions from various sources.
- Communication Messages: Displays standard contact form messages sent via the Communication Module .
- Dynamic Form Messages: Displays responses from custom forms created with the Dynamic Form Module.
Therefore, if you are looking for messages from the standard contact form, you should use the Messages → Contact Messages screen, and if you are looking for records from custom-created forms, you should use the Messages → Dynamic Form Messages screen.
What should be considered when monitoring messages?
It's important to regularly check the contact information coming through your website. This section may contain requests for quotes, support requests, collaboration messages, or general questions.
- Check for new messages regularly.
- Open the message details to review the sender information and message content.
- If necessary, respond to the user via email.
- Regularly delete messages that have been answered or are no longer needed.
